ResMed is a leading global health tech company. For more than 30 years, their  focus has been the development of innovative medical products for the treatment and management of sleep and respiratory disorders.

The company has embarked on a strategic repositioning to broaden their reputation and their business as a leading provider of digitally-driven technology solutions for out-of-hospital patient care across a wide health spectrum.

A key challenge to being able to achieve their global ambition is attracting and retaining the right talent. Delivering this strategy requires new and additional  skill sets to those that ResMed currently employs. It was imperative that ResMed to appeal to top talent across broad medical, technology, engineering and marketing sectors.

To inform the development of a global Employee Value Proposition, we carried out extensive research in key business locations  of Dublin, Singapore and Korea, which included focus groups and online surveys sent to all staff.

After analysing the results and reviewing competitor work, we developed an Employee Value Proposition (EVP) that is based on 4 key pillars of working with ResMed. Together, these pillars ladder up to an overarching proposition –  that working at ResMed gives you the opportunity to ‘shape the future’ – of your career, of the ResMed business, and the healthcare industry.

The EVP was expressed in a creative platform for messaging that leads with the words “I will” and then follows with different messages from each of our pillars.

The EVP strategy, messaging and content direction were written up in a detailed playbook that all key employees have access to. To ensure further consistency across all markets, the creative was rolled out across a huge asset list, ranging from email templates and T-shirts to HTML5 banners and an animated film as well as print executions and posters. All work was also fully translated into Korean.
