ResMed is a global leader in the med tech industry, serving more than 100 million people worldwide. Over the past 30 years, they have developed innovative medical products that make a meaningful difference to the lives of people who suffer from sleep and respiratory disorders.
This is all possible thanks to a team of 8,000 ResMedians… and counting.
ResMed had embarked on a strategic repositioning. Building on their strong reputation in sleep apnea technology, they sought to broaden their business. They moved to position the brand as a leading provider of digitally-driven technology solutions for out-of-hospital patient care across a wide health spectrum.
Critical to the success of their strategic ambitions is attracting and retaining the right talent.
We came on board to develop a global Employee Value Proposition (EVP) that positioned ResMed as an employer of choice across the health, innovation and technology sectors. This was right in our wheelhouse.
Combining extensive employee research from three core global business locations with an in-depth competitor review, we identified four key pillars of working with ResMed.
These pillars ladder up to a single overarching proposition - that working at ResMed gives you the opportunity to ‘shape the future’. Shape the future of your career, shape the future of the ResMed business and shape the future of the healthcare industry.
We brought the EVP to life in a series of aspirational ‘I will’ statements, each aligned to one of the four EVP pillars.
A detailed playbook, outlining the EVP strategy, messaging and content direction, was developed for key employees. The creative rollout included assets ranging from email templates and t-shirts to HTML5 banners and an animated film as well as print executions and posters. All work was also translated into Korean to support growth into this market.
In addition to this we developed a content rich and user friendly careers website. This became the hub for ResMed employees and talent acquisition.
This high level strategy and implementation created a cohesive focus across the ResMed team and saw them take home the silver award for ‘Best in Employer Branding’.
