How we Cracked the Case on Police Bank's Home Loan Growth

Police Bank is a member-owned financial institution built to support the policing community and their families.
As the organisation looked to accelerate growth across Australia, it needed more than a campaign. It needed a clearer strategic position, a stronger identity and a platform capable of driving both brand relevance and commercial performance.
Following a competitive pitch, Police Bank appointed Windsorborn as its growth partner to lead the bank’s repositioning across strategy, brand, creative and performance.
Together, we developed a new brand platform and refreshed visual identity built around a simple but powerful idea:
Here for our own.
The platform repositioned Police Bank as more than a traditional financial institution, reinforcing its role as a specialist banking partner built specifically for the police community and their families.
From there, Windsorborn translated the new platform directly into performance activity, creating a connected system where brand, creative and media worked together to drive measurable growth.
- Modernise its brand while remaining authentic to its member community
- Sharpen its positioning in an increasingly competitive banking category
- Create a more distinctive and ownable identity
- Translate a new brand platform into measurable commercial outcomes quickly
- Drive home loan enquiries and applications across multiple audience segments including First Home Buyers and Refinancers
- Ensure strategy, creative, media and performance operated as one connected growth system
Developed a new brand strategy and platform
We repositioned Police Bank around what made it genuinely distinctive: its deep connection to the policing community.
The new platform, “Here for our own,” reframed the bank as more than a financial institution. It positioned Police Bank as a specialist banking partner built around the needs, realities and ambitions of police members and their families.
The strategic repositioning also sharpened the bank’s broader value proposition around:
- Helping members make smarter financial decisions
- Supporting home ownership sooner
- Delivering more personalised banking support
- Creating more rewarding everyday banking experiences
Refreshed the brand identity
To bring the strategy to life, we developed a refreshed visual identity system designed to feel more distinctive, contemporary and ownable.
This included:
- A new illustration system centred around police officers, families and community moments
- A more cohesive and recognisable visual language across touchpoints
- AI-enabled creative production workflows that allowed assets to scale efficiently across channels and formats
Connected brand and performance
Rather than separating brand from acquisition, we embedded the platform directly into performance activity from launch.
Messaging carried consistently from awareness through to conversion, while creative, media and targeting were aligned around a single strategic idea.
Optimised campaigns around performance signals
To maximise performance, we implemented an ongoing test-and-learn framework across channels, audiences and creative.
Alongside core lead generation activity across Meta, Google Search and Demand Gen, we explored emerging opportunities through platforms including Reddit, LinkedIn, Podcasts and Radio to better understand their role within the broader media mix.
We continuously tested audience strategies, comparing broader and highly targeted segments, while evaluating the impact of Meta Advantage+ targeting on engagement and conversion outcomes.
From a creative perspective, we deployed multiple content formats and messaging variations across the funnel, using structured A/B testing to identify the strongest drivers of engagement, enquiry and conversion.
- The integrated strategy delivered both stronger performance outcomes and a deeper understanding of how to drive future growth.
- Key outcomes included:
- Refined audience targeting that improved confidence in reaching the most relevant and in-market prospects, supported by consistently strong lead generation performance
- A robust test-and-learn framework that provided greater visibility into the contribution of each platform and format, enabling faster optimisation and more efficient media investment
- Clear creative insights around the messaging, formats and content approaches that most effectively resonated with prospective members
- 97,304 new users driven to the Police Bank website between February and April 2026
- 1,213 home loan leads generated during the same period
- The three highest-performing lead generation months on record
- A 153% year-on-year increase in home loan leads
